Second Look Studio, Vancouver

Worth a second look.

Websites, presentations and visuals for companies whose work has outgrown how it looks. We rebuild the things people check before they call you: the site, the deck, the pictures.

Services

Three things, built to the same standard.

Websites

Company sites and investor sites that read well on a phone, load fast and can be updated by your own team.

Presentations

Identity and imagery that hold together across the site, the deck and the page: marks, type, colour, maps, diagrams and short motion.

Range

One placeholder company, six ways.

660,000+Canadian business websites in our proprietary index

Reference from every sector, before we draw a line.

Our proprietary index covers more than 660,000 Canadian business websites, in every industry and every era of web design. We start each project knowing what works in your sector and what has aged, so the range below is a starting point, not a limit. If you can describe it, we can build it.

  • Every sector
  • Every size
  • Coast to coast

Process

Four steps, and you see the result at step two.

  1. 01

    Look

We go through what you have now: the site, the deck, filings, photographs and the words you already use.

  2. 02

    Draft

You see a working concept built from your own material before you commit to anything.

  3. 03

    Build

Design, writing and build. Sites go live on your domain; decks arrive as editable masters.

  4. 04

    Hand over

Files, logins and templates are yours, and your team can update them without us.

After launch · two ways to keep it current

Continuous edits

News, filings, photographs, team changes and slide updates, made as they happen. Send the change and we make it, on the site and in the deck.

  • CadenceAs things change
  • CoversSite, deck, visuals

Quarterly revamps

Each quarter we review the site and deck against your latest results and filings, then refresh the layouts, imagery and numbers so nothing reads as last year.

Who we are

Second Look Studio designs websites, presentations and visuals for companies, from Vancouver, British Columbia. Questions about this policy go to [email protected].

What we collect

Only what you give us. When you request a call or email us, we receive your name, company, email address, the time you picked and anything you write in the note. This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers.

Why we use it

To reply to you, schedule and hold the call, and prepare for it. If you tick the updates box, we also send occasional studio news. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information.

Who else handles it

Our email provider and Zoom process your details so we can reply and hold the call. Our web host delivers this site and, like any host, briefly handles technical data such as your IP address to serve pages and block abuse. These providers may store information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it is subject to the laws of that country. We share nothing else unless the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted 24 months after our last contact. Client records are kept for the engagement and as long as tax and business-record rules require.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you. You can withdraw consent to updates at any time by replying "unsubscribe" or using the link in any update. Write to [email protected] and we reply within 30 days.

Security

We keep information in password-protected accounts and limit access to the people working on your request.

Complaints

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Changes

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.

No offer or advice

Nothing on this site is an offer to provide services on particular terms, or legal, financial or investment advice. Projects are governed by a written agreement signed by both parties.

Ownership

The text, designs and code on this site belong to Second Look Studio. You may link to the site, but please do not copy or reuse its content without written permission.

The site is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, Second Look Studio is not liable for losses arising from use of the site or reliance on its content.
